Long runs

Right now I've been doing between 2-4 miles during the week, and the past couple of weekends I've done 4-6 miles. I am using the training schedule below to train for the Mini on May 7th, so my training may be a little bit ahead of what it should be because of the mini. Not quite sure if I'm doing the right thing, but it feels right! This Saturday would be week 2 of the schedule.

You can check it out if you are also doing the Mini, or if you just want to see what's going on! If we do Saturday runs, and I'm running more, then I'll just keep running afterward, or run before and meet you somewhere on the trail! I'd love to run with people!

Also, I've been trying to do some intervals on the treadmill to mix it up. I'm not good at going one pace the whole time. Yesterday I did 1 minute intervals of 6.5 mph and 8.5 mph. I warmed up to 6.5 for about 5 minutes, did 10 sets of intervals (20 minutes), and then cooled down. It ended up being about a 30 minute workout, but went by fairly quickly.

  1. Whoa, MB I am impressed with your training selection. I would be totally burned out if I followed this thing! Especially starting now. You go, girl! The last two years I trained for the mini beginning in March so that's my plan for that. Then I'm going to get a full-marathon training plan from my Runner's World mag and hope to start that in June! =]
