Yep, we're all nuts, and I love it! I have actually been trying to change up my workouts lately so I'm not just running all the time. I still manage to get 2-3 runs in a week, but I have taken up spinning twice a week with my friend who has guest passes at LA Fitness (huge bonus!) Also, I just bought a Groupon for one month of unlimited CorePower Yoga classes, so I have decided that March is going to be my Yoga month. I think it will be a great way to increase my strength and flexibility before the official marathon training begins. And I agree that the treadmill sucks, so I like to change up my pace to try to keep things interesting. There are always certain songs on the iPod that inspire me to up the speed (I highly recommend "Sound of Sunshine" by Michael Franti). But if you have the gear to get outside and run inspite of the cold weather, I personally believe that is the best option. Your Saturday run idea is phenomenal, Fabs, and I wish I could join you!
Lucky for me, I will be spending all next week in Palm Springs, California, so I will have no excuses when it comes to getting outside and tackling the open road. Have a wonderful weekend, Cobra nation!
Love the title of your post, Ali! Your spinning and yoga classes sound marvelous. Good for you! I know I enjoy riding my bike, too! =} Thanks for the music suggestion. I love Michael Franti. I recommend you download Trinity by Paper Tongues ... enjoy!
