I Did It!!

Good afternoon ladies!

Thanks to MB, I finally figured out how to get on here and make a post. Wow, that didn't take to long or anything. I bet one of my students probably could have figured it out. I feel like I am getting old.

Moving on, I have been running a good bit lately, probably because I am so scared of not being able to keep up with you all. And after hearing what MB finished her half in, ahhhh! Last week went pretty well and I am trying to look forward to the 7 mile run tomorrow morning. I just hate doing it by myself. My sister told me I wouldn't be able to train for a marathon by myself, so there is just more incentive to prove her wrong and to train hard!

For some motivation I have been following the US Women's National Team in their endeavors to win the World Cup. I follow most of them on Twitter (which you all should join) and then I keep up with this website: http://www.ussoccer.com/Teams/US-Women.aspx. I am living vicariously though them. What a cool feeling to be that good at soccer. It is pretty cheesy and I know that Jolene probably doesn't buy in to this "Corny shit" (those may not be her exact words, but it has been so long) but the more I watch and see how hard they have worked the more I want to work hard and take care of my body, what I put in it too. Training for a marathon is a great way to lose weight too. Well, not really lose weight but firm up a bit!

I will keep you posted on my 7 mile run scheduled for tomorrow. Oh yeah, another helpful hint is to use www.mapmyrun.com. You probably already use this but it helps me be able to map out a different run and see the mileage.
