I wish you were all there...

so someone could laugh with me later!

Background:

Weather is a perfect 65 degrees. Scout is anxious to run with me. It's only 3 miles and I'm feeling great! Scout and I run out of my circle with his leash around my wrist and we're heading on a normal route with Scout leading the way.

Action:

Bang!! 0.2 mile into my nice, easy, perfect weather run, I catch an uneven sidewalk. Thinking I can catch myself I put my arms down only to realize that Scout has no idea that I have tripped. He keeps running. I don't. My teetering then caught up to the tightened leash on my wrist that I couldn't get off quick enough. Needless to say the right side of my body looks like I battled some kind of giant beast. Unfortunately, it was just a side walk and an anxious dog.

A nice old man was walking across the street and stopped to make sure I was ok, but I really just wish one of you were there so you could relive my stupidity for me. I did finish the run, and my mid-week runs are now done! Only 5 miles this weekend!
