FIrst Week?

Hey girls! Just seeing how everyone's first week is going. I wasn't able to put my toe into closed-toe shoes until today, so I'm hoping to get a good run in tomorrow and get caught up! I keep telling myself that it's better to be out the first week than a week later in the training. Shay Shay - do you need help getting on? We can have a phone tutorial if needed! Fabs, I think you had talked about a program you got from Runner's World. Just curious if it was close to the one Ali had mentioned by Hal Higdon.

I hope you all enjoy the holiday weekend! Miss you guys!

  1. Hey Hey!! My first week on the training schedule went pretty well. The Saturday run didn't go so well because I got up too late and it was super hot! (And Drew came with me) Let's just say he is not really in shape. Anyways, I cannot believe I am actually running 15-20 miles a week, crazy. I miss y'all and wish we could train together. Love you guys!!

  2. yay Shay!!! I'm so glad you are on here now! I can't believe for the past 2 weeks I have run about 10 miles either! I'm not up to the 15-20 yet, but should be this week with the 7-miler on Saturday. I have the same issue with Sean being out of shape, so I think I will try to go on my own this weekend and let him do a shorter one. Are you guys doing something different on Sundays or just running again or just resting?

  3. Well, I'm not actually training yet because of my hip! I have been working on modifying one I found in Runner's World. So I will actually only be training for about 12 weeks and only running 2-3 times per week. The other days will have to be strength training and lots of cardio! We'll see how it goes!
